Photo of Donald Trump Wearing A Diaper Is A Digital Fake

An embarrassing photo purportedly showing President Donald Trump donning a diaper is a digitally-manipulated fake. While Trump has had his fair share of awkward social media moments, the disturbing diaper photo is not real.

According to Snopes, the Photoshopped image was shared on Twitter by Operation Veracity, an anti-Trump movement. The photo quickly gained hundreds of retweets and sparked claims that it had been leaked by the Russians. “Hey @realDonaldTrump the Russians are leaking,” the tweet reads. The photo, however, is not real, which they later acknowledged. “Is this real? No, it has been determine to be a very good altered photo.”

The fake image uses part of a photo of Trump from 1991. The original photo was taken at the Man of the Year Awards and features Trump and then-wife Ivana. Trump’s face was cut from the original photo and then placed on the edited photo to make it look like he was donning a diaper. The photo is not real and there is no evidence to suggest that Trump has ever worn a diaper, outside of conspiracy theories.

Photos of Trump wearing a diaper are, of course, not the first fake images of the president. Others have included Trump getting diarrhea on the golf course, Trump looking fat and disgusting while tweeting at Mar-a-Lago and Trump’s hand getting slapped away by Pope Francis. While these are all fake, there are real (and slightly embarrassing) photos of Trump that went viral earlier this year: ones in which he can be seen wearing a bathrobe.

Here are some people talking about the fake diaper-wearing photo on social media:
