A Wendy’s employee admitting to “pooping” in the fast food chain’s chili for over two years is fake news. There is no truth to a disgusting and disturbing report that a disgruntled employee confessed to having been defecating in the chili served at a Wendy’s in Alabama.
Where did this fake news originate? In March 2016, the entertainment web site Now8News published the fake news article reporting that a Wendy’s employee in Alabam was putting feces in the restaurant’s chili. You can read the sick and weird fake news below.
A Wendy’s employee is now under arrest after he admitted to “pooping” in several hundred batches of chili since 2013. Brian Casper, 28, had been an “on time and reliable employee,” according to the manager and coworkers at the Mobile, Alabama location. The fact that this happened was a shock to everybody at the restaurant, including the several thousand customers who may have consumed Casper’s feces.
Several of the customers say they are considering a class action lawsuit, but nothing has been filed as of yet. Casper was caught by another employee when he exited the bathroom with a cup and was seen adding it to the chili bin. The employee retrieved the ingredients and notified the manager, who then called the police. When confronted, Casper admitted he had been “flavoring the chili” for over 2 years. Casper was arrested, booked on several charges and is awaiting his court hearing.
However, there is no truth to the above story, according to Snopes. The above story was replicated on several other disreputable web sites, such as TMZ World News (no affiliation with TMZ.com) and FoxNews3 (no affiliation with FoxNews.com). While all three of these web sites specialize in fake news stories, only TMZ World News featured a disclaimer labeling its content as satire:

The fake news story for all three versions included a photo allegedly showing Wendy’s employee “Brian Casper.” However, the photo is actually the mugshot of a Michigan man who was arrested in 2011 for a crime unrelated to feces. That man was charged with marijuana possession and furnishing alcohol to a minor and briefly made headlines when he tucked his ears through his stretched lobes.
