Chris Blue Finishes Strong With ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’ By Percy Sledge On The Voice

Chris Blue ended the show with a strong performance of “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge.

Alicia Keys said that she thought she was watching Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke and other greats when she watches Chris. Alicia said that he is powerful and that fans should vote for him.

Chris finished strong even though the other coaches did not get a chance to comment on his performance as the show was running late and they had to wrap things up.

What did you think of the performance? Let us know in the comments section.

Chris grew up in a family of seven in a tiny house. His mother decided to put the family in a band called the Blue Family, where they sang at local churches. It later became the Blue Brothers and they performed across the Midwest and later at the Bobby Jones Gospel show on BET. After high school, Chris worked various jobs and even attempted to go back to school. For the past six years, he has worked as a worship leader. During this time, he met his fiancée, Stephanie, who is from England. They have been in a long-distance relationship ever since. She’s been battling bone marrow cancer for most of her life and flatlined during surgery recently. It’s hard on Chris, who has been struggling with not being there through the hard times.

The three-time Emmy Award-winning “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season. Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani returns as a coach this season, joining megastars Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, followed by the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

In the final live-performance phase of the competition, the Top 12 artists compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience votes to save their favorite artists. The three artists with the lowest number of votes are eligible for the “Instant Save.” These artists each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save. Then, America has the opportunity to save their favorite performer by tweeting #VoiceSave along with the artist’s name. The singers with the lowest number of votes are sent home each week. In the end, one is named “The Voice” and receives the grand prize of a recording contract.
