The next couple to go home in season 24 is Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev, in addition to Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd as part of week seven’s double elimination. David Ross and Lindsay Arnold were also in jeopardy. Nancy says the whole experience was amazing.
Tonight, the couple earned a 36 out of 40 after dancing a romantic tango to “Oh, Pretty Woman” for Movie Night. Nancy lost the evening’s dance-off to Simone Biles and Sasha Farber. Their average score throughout the competition was 33 points.
Nancy Kerrigan and Partner Artem Chigvintsev Eliminated
Their other dances have included a fierce paso doble to “Free Your Mind” for Boy Bands vs. Girl Groups night, fun jazz routine to “That’s How You Know” for Disney Night, emotional foxtrot for Most Memorable Year Night and sassy samba to Ricky Martin’s “Shake Your Bon-Bon” for Vegas Night. They also danced a sparkling cha cha and graceful Viennese waltz in the first couple weeks of the competition. Their very first score was a 28 out of 40. The judges very often praised Nancy’s movement.

According to ABC, Kerrigan “has been one of America’s most recognizable sports icons for over 20 years. Her rise to competing at a national level began when she placed 3rd at the 1991 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, allowing her to qualify for the 1991 World Championships, where she won the bronze medal as part of an American sweep. In 1992 she earned a bronze medal in the Albertville Winter Olympics and the silver medal at the 1992 World Championships. In 1993 Kerrigan became the United States Ladies Champion and followed that up with her historic silver medal performance at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics.”
Now in its 24th season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
The remaining contestants include Simone Biles with Sasha Farber, Normani Kordei with Val Chmerkovskiy, Bonner Bolton with Sharna Burgess, David Ross with Lindsay Arnold and Rashad Jennings with Emma Slater.
“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
