The weather is getting crisper and leaves are starting to turn. Fall is upon us beer drinkers. But Golden Road Brewery Co. is not letting that stop them from enjoying lasting memories of the Summer. Golden Road newest release in their Fruit Cart series is Melon Cart. This beer is bursting with flavors of watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe. Enough tastes to remind you of the Summer in the Fall.
From Golden Road, this beer is inspired by the iconic fruit cart vendors of Los Angeles. Now, take a sip of Melon Cart. As you do you will think of sunny walkways and beach scenery with people relaxing on the sand, rollerblading on the macadam walkways, surfing in the water, and dogs running after the frisbee. This beer is a refreshing taste of ripe fruit that will satisfy anyone’s thirst for something tasty.
Melon Cart is a light, refreshing Wheat Ale with lots of fresh melon flavors that carry through from start to finish. Tastes like freshly cut melons and the California sun right in your hand. The beer is crisp with watermelon and then refreshing but not overly powerful cantaloupe and honeydew aftertaste.
This crisp wheat beer is excellent for those last humid days and a lasting reminder of Summer when as the leaves fall, it becomes apple and Oktober fest season. The fruit tastes delicious and surprisingly does not have the hoppy beer after taste. Golden Road has succeeded with this beer.
It is a very light and refreshing fruity beer that would sit very nicely on a warm summer day. The first 20 seconds after pour look amazing. You will observe a nice fluffy white head, golden color and streaming bubbles. After 20 seconds all that remains is the nice color as you take sip after sip. The tropical smell is great and the tart melon taste is very good. It starts sweet and ends tart.
Overall, it was a great experience sharing a beer from Golden Road. Again, what did you think I got right and what do you think I said wrong? Let us know in the comments section.
