U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions naming a special investigator for a probe into The Clinton Foundation is fake news. There is no truth to a report that Sessions had decided on a special investigator into the foundation run by Bill and Hillary Clinton.
As of this writing there has been no named special investigator. Where did this fake news originate? The Last Line of Defense published the fake news article on Nov. 14, 2017, reporting that The Clinton Foundation was being investigated by special counsel. You can read the fake news below.
Jeff Sessions has made a quick, outside the box decision on investigating the Clinton Foundation’s theft and sale of 20% of the US uranium stores to Russia. The crime occurred while Hillary Clinton was still Secretary of State and signed off on by then-President Barack Obama.
Sessions, after being pressured by the White House to take action on some real crime in this country, has appointed Ben Shapiro to head the investigation. Shapiro, who studied law under Alan Dershowitz, spent his high-school summers interning for his father, Larry Shapiro, who ran the FBI for nearly 14 years:
“His background, conservative leanings and knowledge of the American judicial system makes him the perfect independent investigator. He has already researched the subject in-depth and co-authored the book “Yellow Cake: How Hillary Sold Our Future” with Dana Loesch. He will serve admirably.
However, there is no truth to the above story. Rather, Sessions has authorized senior prosecutors at the Justice Department to evaluate whether allegations regarding the Clinton Foundation and the sale of a uranium company need to be investigated by a special counsel, according to ABC News.
Any appointment of a new special counsel, in response to calls from members of Congress or from President Donald Trump himself, is likely to lead to Democratic complaints about an undue political influence on a department that is supposed to function outside of any partisan sway or demand.
The Clinton Foundation builds partnerships of great purpose between businesses, governments, NGOs, and individuals to work faster, better, and leaner; to find solutions that last; and to transform lives and communities from what they are today to what they can be, tomorrow.
